BISON RANCH

The name Matahota means "Great Bear" in the Lakota Language, we are the home of 100% Grass-Fed American Bison, in scenic South Dakota. We utilize renewable energy sources, Solar, Wind, and Biomass, also employing a cistern system to conserve rain water and snow melt. We are located near Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park, and the Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. We are a "Green" Bison Ranch, we believe in recycling, turning otherwise waste products into energy sources and fertilizer. Nothing goes to waste.

 In addition to our Bison, we raise Rhode Island Red Laying hens, Hogs, for Pork Products,Goats,Sheep,and a Holstein Dairy cow for fresh dairy products. And our Wolf Hybrid Dogs for sale.

Crops grown include Soybeans,Corn,Wheat,Hops,Grapes,Apples,Fresh Herbs,and a Greenhouse for fresh vegetables year-round.
